Gabby Vazquez

Plain Language & User-Centered Design Partner/Specialist

Gabby specializes in helping organizations make complex information easier for people to understand and use. Her work focuses on plain language, forms and application review, resource development, user testing, and user-centered design for housing, access to justice, and other public-serving systems.

She currently serves as a Court Management Consultant with the National Center for State Courts, where she supports initiatives related to eviction diversion, language access, and user-centered service design. Before joining NCSC, Gabby worked for the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development, supporting statewide eviction prevention efforts and providing technical assistance to local housing providers.

Drawing on her experience in housing, public administration, psychology, user testing, and user-centered design, Gabby helps organizations improve the usability, accessibility, and effectiveness of the resources and services they provide. Her work is guided by her belief that people should be able to understand and use the systems that are meant to serve them, especially people navigating services in stressful situations, people with limited English proficiency, and people with disabilities.

She holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
